  1. Discovery Playhouse Discovery Playhouse by Yookidoo

    Discovery Playhouse by Yookidoo

During the early stages of your baby’s development, you can sit her by the wall (inside or out) with the rain beads disk and 2 propellers. Demonstrate the activity and watch how quickly your baby will master these skills.
Try sitting your baby by the balls roller-coaster. You can roll the balls down the ramps and ask your baby to retrieve them at the trap door at the base of the coaster. This will encourage the development of motor skills & object permanence, the understanding that objects exist even when they cannot be seen. As your child begins to stand he will master this task independently.
You can teach concepts of colour by asking your child to match the coloured ball to the matching colour chute. Count along with your baby while you stack balls in the numbered chutes. At the age of 1.5- 2 years, ask your toddler to use the coloured shaped sorter keys to retrieve the balls from inside the tent. Develop confidence through games like “Now you see me, now you don’t!” Sit your baby inside the playhouse and call his name. He can pop his head out the front opening or peek at you through the holes on each side. This will develop his sense of object permanence.
The Discovery Playhouse is also great for cooperative play allowing your little one to practice and develop social skills and imagination.

  2. Gymotion Activity Playland Gymotion Activity Playland by Yookidoo

    Gymotion Activity Playland by Yookidoo

Lay & Play 1: During the first weeks, place the baby beneath the length of the arches. The overhead buggy will move from side to side across the field of vision, while one of 5 toys is dangling beneath it, stimulating the baby to turn head, focus on the moving toy and follow. The length of hanging toys can be extended by using extra rings, which will bring the toy closer to the baby’s hands. This will encourage the baby to reach out, promoting eye hand coordination.

Lay & Play 2: At a more advance stage, the baby can be laid parallel to the motion buggy. At this stage, the baby begins to track the buggy as it moves with greater consistency. You can hang each one of the 5 included toys from both arches or buggy.

Tummy time 3: When placing baby on his tummy, the motion track can be attached to the play mat directly in front of the baby’s field of view. One of the three figures can be placed atop the buggy. This encourages head lifting and turning, developing peripheral vision. We recommend placing your baby no more than 10” (25 cm) away from the track & buggy. The buggy will captivate the baby’s attention, stimulating baby to act, promoting eye hand coordination.
When your baby begins to sit up, remove the arches (see instruction sheet), attach the Gymotion™ track & buggy to the mat and sit your baby on the mat in front of the track & buggy. Baby can now play with the characters moving back & forth on the track. Operating the buggy by tapping it will teach her of cause and effect. Use the characters and graphics on the mat to create your own story to encourage imagination and creativity.

  5. Submarine Spray Station Submarine Spray Station by Yookidoo

    Submarine Spray Station by Yookidoo

Independent play and exploration with the Yookidoo’s best-selling award winning bath toy.
Using the Submarine Pump – place the submarine pump unit on the bottom of the bath tub. Ensure water level is at least 5 cm. Attach the water activity station to the side of the bath tub using the suction cups. Ensure the yellow propeller is at least 1 cm above the water level.
Reducing water anxiety – demonstrate to your child how to operate the diver shower head by pressing the trigger. Obtaining control over their surroundings encourages children who may be fearful of water to experience a pleasant feel of water on their skin. Expecting the flow of water which they themselves create reduces water anxiety and makes bath time even more fun due to the feeling of accomplishment. Developmental benefits of the water activity centre – present different ways to use the shower head. Demonstrate how to turn the pump on and off, and how to aim the water flow to either of the two funnels. Each course will create a chain reaction of surprising water effects. By doing so, your child develops his eye-hand coordination, gross & fine motor skills, as well as spatial awareness. Following the water flow through the funnel will teach your child cause & effect.

  7. Crawl N Go Snail Crawl N Go Snail by Yookidoo

Crawl N Go Snail by Yookidoo

Encourage crawling – when your baby is on the floor on his tummy, position the snail in front of his face and away. Turn on the snail, by pressing the green button. Then, activate the snail by pressing the green tail down. As the snail rolls away and play music, the baby will visually track its motion, wishing to touch the snail, eventually prompting the baby to stretch and crawl.
Cause & effect and encouraging exploration – show your baby how to operate the snail by pressing the tail. The easy to operate tail button enables independent operation by your baby while teaching him cause and effect. Introduce your child to new concepts such as fast/slow, near/far. Crawling after the snail will also encourage exploration of the surrounding.
Stacker doubles as an independent toy. Show your child how to place and remove the stacker from the snail’s back. Show your child how stacker rolls back and forth on the floor or playmate.
Developing motor skills – while your baby is sitting, unscrew the top of the stacker and place the stacker in front of him. Demonstrate taking out the rings by either taking off one ring at a time or turning the stacker over allowing all the rings to fall freely. Even if your baby is not ready yet to place the rings back on the stacker, he will love taking them off. Around one year old, your baby will be able to stack a ring by himself. For better development motor skills, place a ring in a different hand each time and then in both. Accompany playing with counting and concepts such as high/low, many/few.
