There is a unique 3 layer design:Layer 1 comprises of high quality certified 100% quilted cotton fabric covers which offer breathability and which are quilted for comfort.This outer cover can be removed for washing with the easy to use zip and therefore provide a clean and hygienic sleeping surface so toilet training is now made easier.Layer 2 comprises of two padded sleeping surfaces:1 being a Latex Padding (90% Natural 10% Synthetic) which is formulated to be allergy and dust mite resistant as well as being perforated to accelerate the flow of air through the mattress for the extra breathability.2 being a Bonded Fibre padded surface which is also allergy and dust mite resistant. The Bonded Fibre is manufactured using layers of fibre to create a firm surface that is breathable.The ability to have two different sides to a mattress allows for parents to provide optimal sleeping conditions throughout the year depending upon the climate for your baby.Layer 3 comprises of the spring and frame construction. All babyhood mattresses use the specially designed Bonnell Springs and Tempered Frame Support System. This allows for greater support for your baby as it includes safety features such as the tempered outer frame and protective corner guards to help prevent your baby from sustaining any injuries when standing at the edge of the mattress.This mattress is just not great for baby but it is great for the environment as there are no harsh chemicals used in the manufacture of this mattress and the mattress is biodegradable and recyclable.
